Run the Installer

  1. Download the ISO from VMWare. It should be called something similar to VMware-VCSA-all-6.7.0-14836122.iso.
  2. Mount the ISO and run vcsa-ui-installer/win32/installer.exe

Initial Install Options

  2. Introduction > Next
  3. Accept End User License > Next
  4. vCenter Server with an Embedded Platform Services Controller > Next
  5. Deployment Target
    1. host: r710.bpopp.net
    2. port: 443
    3. user: root
    4. Next
    5. Accept Cert
  6. Set up appliance VM
    1. VM name: vcenter.bpopp.net
    2. Next
  7. Deployment Size: Tiny
  8. Select datastore
    1. datastore
  9. network settings
    1. Network VM Network
    2. fqdn: vcenter.bpopp.net
    3. ip address: 192.168.1.44
    4. subnet: 255.255.255.0
    5. gateway: 192.168.1.1
    6. dns: 192.168.1.2
